The Brain Swamp and the Brain Stream

The Brain Swamp is the name of the reservoir of thoughts, ideas, essays and documents I've accumulated over time; it is a wild jungle of bits and scraps of things mixed together like the strewn debris of a monsoon. It is the array of things I've already written and moved on from, who I was but not necessarily the same as or different from who I am today.

The Brain Stream is the stream of ideas, thoughts and projects that feed the brain swamp and also flows back out of it. Every day, new thoughts flow in or old thoughts are revisited, fleshed out and emerge as something fully formed. Since all my interests have a tendency to go through fads lasting for unpredictable but always passing periods of time, the Brain Stream represent what's currently on my mind, however much I feel it's fleeting. It's who am today, but not necessarily what I want you to think is a long-standing interest of mine, even if I go for months without shutting up about it.

Without further ado, let's get this parade underway.
